SALON POLICY

Before booking an appointment with us, please carefully read our booking policy. This policy applies to both Totally Polished and our employed therapists, as well as our resident self-employed renters.

WHEN BOOKING

When booking online, please double-check that you are selecting the correct treatment:​

  • Soak Offs or Infills are required if you currently have gel or builder gel on, ensure a soak off is included in your booking.

  • Nail Art: If you require nail art, make sure to book this service as well for timing purposes.

 

Incorrect bookings may result in your treatment not being able to go ahead as planned.

Additionally, please take note of the allocated treatment time and ensure you are available for the entire duration. This is the time required to complete your treatment properly.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The effects of clients not showing for an appointment or cancelling at the last minute can be extremely detrimental to the salon and self employed renters working from the salon. To keep the salon running smoothly and in fairness to other clients we would greatly appreciate at least 48 hours notice of any cancellation or alterations to any appointments. We understand emergencies and situations beyond your control can sometimes happen, but it is very difficult to fill an appointment last minute with little/no notice. 
 
Any cancellations or appointment movements made with less than 48 hours notice will result in a 50% charge of the service booked. We will be happy to change or cancel any appointments up until 48 hours before.

NO SHOW'S

Any 'no show' appointments will be charged 100% of the treatment price that was booked. This payment will be required before a new booking can be made.

LATE ARRIVALS

If you are running late please contact your therapist directly or call the salon as soon as possible. We will always do our best to accommodate, however any appointments 15 minutes late or more may not be able to go ahead and a no show fee may be charged.

CARD CAPTURE

When booking online, you will now be prompted to enter your card details.

No payment will be taken at the time of booking. This measure is to protect our small business from no-shows and last-minute cancellations, which have increased significantly lately.

If you book manually through us, we will verify your email address, and you will receive an email to confirm your card details.

WAITLIST

We have a new feature of waitlists on our online booking system. If you cannot find any available appointments, you can request your preferred therapist, treatments, and available days and times.

If an appointment becomes available, we will contact you to get you booked in.

LOYALTY CARDS

We are excited to re-introduce salon loyalty cards exclusively with Totally Polished therapists.

Every time you visit the salon for a treatment from one of our in-house therapists, you will receive a stamp and once your card is full, you'll receive a discount. It’s our way of saying thank you for choosing us.

TIPPING POLICY

At Totally Polished, we value your generosity and want to make the tipping process as seamless as possible for you. Following recent changes in tipping laws, we have updated our process for leaving tips.

If you wish to tip your beauty therapist, you can now do so during checkout on the card machine. The option will appear on the screen for your convenience. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can leave a tip after your treatment through the email receipt you receive.

Please note that tipping is entirely optional, and we sincerely appreciate any gratuities left. All tips go directly to the therapist as a token of your kindness. Thank you for your continued support!

CHILD POLICY

Due to an update on our Salon health and safety regulations, we can no longer allow children in the Salon when you come for your treatment.
 
A salon is not the safest place for a child, since very sharp objects, and chemicals are in regular use. Our therapists are unable to carry out your treatment if they also need to keep an eye on child safety.  We as a salon want to ensure that both you and our other clients receive a relaxing treatment.  Therefore, we request that you come alone to your appointment and enjoy the time to yourself.

GIFT VOUCHERS

We offer gift vouchers that can be redeemed with any therapist working within Totally Polished. 
Vouchers are valid for 6 months and can be purchased in the salon. Vouchers can be purchased in person from the salon or online.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

Please note due to a change in insurance we are unable to carry out any treatments on under 16's.
We apologise for the inconvenience. 

PAYMENTS

We accept major debit/credit cards (Excluding Amex), Cash and Apple Pay. 
Please note all card transactions have to be £10.00 or over.  

Please note self employed renters may differ and will contact you with their payment preference.

COMPLAINTS & FEEDBACK

Our priority is for you to be completely satisfied with the service you receive from us. Please contact us via our customer service and we will get back to you with 48 hours.

PATCH TESTS

A patch test is required at least 48 hours before the following treatments:
  • Lash Tinting
  • Brow Tinting
  • Lash Lifting
  • Lash Extensions
  • Brow Lamination

Please note we DO NOT except disclaimer forms and no patch test means no treatment will go ahead. You can book a patch test on our online booking system or by giving the salon a call.
